Jessica Matheson foundation biography (our story).

She was given the Zulu name “Buhle,” which means “Beauty,” by the hospital staff.

Jessica Talia Yaffah Matheson was given the TB vaccine, but due to the large amounts of antibiotics she was given, developed thrush and nappy rash. She was diagnosed with Bipolar disorder and Bulimia, which caused her to become binge eating and bulimic. Jessica’s EDU Unit treatment did not stop her bulimia, but going back to school was difficult, and her best friends turned against her. She was accepted to another school, where she made new friends and reaffirmed her worth, but eventually committed suicide due to mental health issues.
